I’d argue the willful ignorance of far too many voters, much more on the right than left presently, presents an extreme danger to this country. Cultists like MAGA can abide no criticism of their dear leader. This only leads to the degradation of convention of political institutions, which seemed to work in this country pre Trump, but may now be beyond repair.
Thanks for subscribing! By the way, if you think my writing is thoughtless, I can't imagine the horrendous mind rot you ingest in your daily life. You may need an intervention. And didn't you have a better use of your time than to write that comment, or is your schedule as empty as your intellect?
I read your post about Trump etc. While I do NOT agree with 100% of what Trump has and continues to do, I agree with his overall leadership. He has the spine to take on risks that both democrat and republican presidents have not stood up to. I wish you would have specified what you disagree with that Trump is/has done. Your writing is in generalizations and leaves readers (wondering) what exactly you are referring to. I would appreciate a reply to this post. Tell your readers what you like or dont like regarding Trump.
I know this question is not for me but personally I don’t like anything about Trump. The only thing I can think of that has been valuable about his political presence is bringing attention to the border. His response to that has been abysmal but at least he brought attention to the problem. Same for Israel. Hezbollah and Hamas should not be allowed to exist. The fact that paramilitary organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah are allowed to operate on Israel’s borders is a huge international black eye. I am no fan of Netanyahu and fair minded Palestinians deserve a seat at the table but Israel should not need an Iron Dome. Shame on the world for that.
Trump’s response to both issues however has been to appoint completely unqualified people to handle the border and national security. The only exception may be “little Marco” as Trump titled him. The fact that the Republican Party has bowed to him is an abomination. He lies every time he opens his mouth, he has no morals and is a complete grifter. He has destroyed our alliances with our friends and neighbors and it will take decades to repair the damage he has done.
So....I can think of more things where Trump has been good/beneficial:
Getting the 2017 tax cuts extended
Recognizing that Iran needed to be dealt with (how he's prosecuting the war is a separate question)
Bringing attention to enormous-scale fraud costing taxpayers billions of dollars
Getting allies to spend more on their own defense (though how he treats those allies sometimes is a separate question)
Slashing ridiculous subsidies for "renewable energy" (though pressing for an increase in coal use is a separate question)
Keeping Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris from becoming president
To be clear, so far I think his second term is an exceptionally mixed bag. Plenty of major errors this term.
I try to keep my view of him as a person (couldn't be much lower without literally having committed murder) separate from how I analyze his presidency.
Sorry Ross, I am not able to separate those things as easy as you are. I think being a horrible human being, and a lying fraudster should disqualify someone from being president of the United States.
And for you, Michael, Trump is a bigger scum than any “illegal” I know. If it took tanking my retirement to get rid of him, I could live with that. I feel sorry for you. I hope you cut your own lawn, grow your own vegetables and butcher your own meat.
Thanks Ross. Very reasoned in my view. Certainly more principled than the MAGA crowd who will not find ANY fault with their leader.

What are you smoking??
There are things I do not agree with Trump. Overall, he has accomplished more in one week than Biden did in 4 years!!!!
That's true, and he is also eroding the foundation of our Republic. So is it worth it? (I really don't know the answer.)
This Ross report is a bunch of immature thoughtless BS.

Well written Ross and agree. I do think your oral presentation of the same on the show can go “full blue cheese” mode when Trump is the topic.
What dont you like about Trump???
